What is FIRST LEGO League – and what do we do?

FIRST LEGO League is an international technology and innovation competition where children and youth develop robots and solve real-world challenges through programming, technology, and creative problem-solving.This year’s theme is archaeology. We are developing a solution that makes it easier to report discoveries of historical artefacts, ensuring that important information is preserved. At the same time, we design and program a robot from the ground up — without predefined instructions or standard solutions. Everything is custom-made by the team. The code is developed in Python and tailored to the robot we build. On the competition field, we have 2.5 minutes to complete missions with high precision through systematic testing, optimization, and continuous improvement.

Technology and Results

We work in a structured way with both robot design and programming, developing our own solutions from the ground up. The code is written in Python and tailored to the robot we build, through continuous testing and iteration.Throughout the season, we have achieved strong results, including winning the regional Champion’s Award and placing 3rd in the Technology category at the Scandinavian final. These results have earned us an invitation to the Korea Open Invitational 2026, where we will represent Norway and compete against some of the best teams in the world.

The team presents its project, robot, and technical choices to a panel of judges, including experts from NTNU and leading technology environments.

“When there are 20 seconds left, I send the robot onto the field — and it’s a perfect run. That feeling makes it all worth it.”
